Nigerian born Ikwan "iyke onka" Onwuka is one of the rare born-to-do-it music artistes whose music history dates back to early childhood. He grew up performing and playing several musical instruments in his family band alongside his musician-parents and siblings. He wrote his first song at the age of 10 under the guidance of his songwriter-Dad and has been performing in Churches and Christian events ever since. Armed with his intense passion for music, and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Industrial Physics, it wasn’t hard for Iyke Onka to create a niche for himself in the music industry. He started out in 1999 as a songwriter, music producer and studio audio engineer. Five years later, in 2004, he launched out to fulfill his calling as a solo gospel music artiste. Today he is successfully making a happy union of talent, inspiration and knowledge in his music and blessing the souls of many in the process.

HIS MUSIC
Iyke Onka’s favorite genre of musical expression is ROCK. His vocal delivery is velvety deep with some soft and lovely coarseness at higher octaves. Something you would expect from a cross influence of music artistes like Bono(U2), Phil Collins, Bryan Adams, Seal, Lighthouse Family, Michael W. Smith, Third Day and Jeremy Camp. Iyke Onka’s lyrical style is a beautiful balance of poetry and simplicity. His content is completely gospel and inspirational and his vocal styling focuses more on melodic arrangements and good diction, enabling him to navigate his audience through the various emotional contours of his songs.

DISCOGRAPHY
Iyke Onka is currently putting together his second album. His debut album titled ‘Another Miracle’ was released in November, 2006.
'ANOTHER MIRACLE' album contains spirit-filled Gospel/Inspirational songs like:

The predominant musical style in “Another Miracle” is soft rock, spiced up with lots of other musical flavors from his rich musical pedigree. lyke Onka wrote and produced all the songs in the album, with the exception of “Amazing Grace”, an all time gospel classic by John Newton, which he gave a fresh melody and a Blues-minor rendition.

TOURS & CONCERTS
Since the release of his debut album, Iyke Onka has performed in several Christian events and concerts. These include the “National Youth Conference” in Lagos, Nigeria, where he performed and ministered to millions of Nigerian youths. He also performed at MTN sponsored “Praise Jam”, the biggest Christmas concert in Nigeria. Iyke Onka has toured West and Southern Africa. He hopes to tour the rest of the world with his 90 Degrees Band.
